Mercedes Regadío Clays and Environmental Control Group (GPRG) Facultad de Ciencias. Modulo 6. |

Spontaneous applications are welcomed.
My most recent experience focuses on:
- Valorization of sandy inert waste (fine aggregates from construction and demolition activities, bottom ashes from biomass plants of agriculture) to mix with natural plastic clays for applying as attenuation and containment barriers (some reference here).
- Leaching studies to classify wastes according to their hazardousness in order to valorise them without causing damage to the environment and health (some reference here and here).
I could give support and supervision in:
- Elemental composition and mineralogy of solid phases
- Pore water and mineral surface characteristics of solid phases
- Consistency classification and properties of clay materials and their blends with sandy materials
- Compaction and permeability studies
- Compliance leaching studies

Juan de la cierva:
Here are the docs: https://www.aei.gob.es/convocatorias/buscador-convocatorias/ayudas-contratos-juan-cierva-formacion-2021/orden-bases, the templates and instructions are when you unfold the “solicitud convocatoria 2021” and you see the following:
- Apply on the website: you need to create a investigator profile: AYUDAS JUAN DE LA CIERVA – FORMACIÓN 2020 (micinn.gob.es) . Normally, until the call opens (e.g., 20/Jan/2022), you can not access the online system.
- That means: filling some sections in the website (a kind of Part A of a Marie S Curie application ) and then upload some pdf (e.g., you cv or/and your research statement, a kind of Part B1 and B2 of a Marie S Curie application)
- Then, you press the bottom of generation a “borrador”,
- If the borrador is ok, then you generate a “definitivo”, and then you sign it with a digital signature and send it to convocatoriasinv.rrhh.nacionales@uam.es (please check that this is correct, because I am not 100% sure)
